Process read emails and go back in time — now on Pro
Email Labeler now lets Pro subscribers include read emails and choose how far back to look. Process your entire Gmail history or just recent messages—with a live preview before you run.
What's new in Pro
1. Include read emails Before, we only processed unread messages. Now you can label everything—marked read or not. Perfect for organizing your entire mailbox retroactively.
2. Choose your lookback window Don't want to process 10 years of email? Select a custom range:
- Last 1 week
- Last 1 month
- Last 3 months
- Last 6 months
- Last 1 year
- All time
3. Preview before you run Before processing begins, see exactly how many emails will be labeled and review a sample. No surprises.
Why this matters
Many of our users told us they wanted to:
- Clean up their entire inbox, not just new emails
- Organize emails from years ago (old clients, past projects, etc.)
- Retroactively label newsletters and receipts they'd archived
Now you can do all of that.
How it works
- Go to your Dashboard (Pro plans only)
- Click Process Emails
- Toggle Include read emails to label everything
- Slide the lookback control to your preferred time window
- Click Preview to see what will be processed
- Click Process to apply labels
That's it. Your labels appear instantly in Gmail.
FAQ
Q: Will this delete or modify any emails? No. We only add labels. Your emails stay exactly as they are.
Q: How long does it take? Processing time depends on your mailbox size and lookback window. Large mailboxes (1000+ emails) may take a few minutes. You'll see progress in real time.
Q: What if I process the same emails twice? No problem. If an email already has a label from a previous run, we won't add it again.
Q: Can I schedule this automatically? Yes. On Pro plans, you can schedule daily automatic processing. Use the Cron Settings to pick a time.
