How does Email Labeler work?
Email Labeler connects to your Gmail via IMAP using an App Password you generate. You choose or create labels and provide short descriptions. When you run a processing job (manually or on a schedule, depending on plan), we analyse recent emails and apply the most relevant label using Gmail’s IMAP features (X‑GM‑LABELS or safe copy fallback). Labels are instantly visible in Gmail on web and mobile.
Is this safe? How is my data handled?
- Your IMAP App Password is stored encrypted. You can revoke it at any time from your Google Account.
- We do not persist email bodies. We fetch message metadata and a short snippet in-memory to decide labels, then apply labels via IMAP.
- We never delete or send emails on your behalf. The app only reads and labels.

What is the typical setup?
- Start the free trial or subscribe.
- Connect Gmail via IMAP using your email & Google App Password.
- Select or create labels in the setup page and add short descriptions.
- Run your first manual processing to see labels applied.
- (Paid plans) Enable daily automatic processing.

Are labels created in the app synced with Gmail?
Yes. If you add a label in the app, we ensure it exists in Gmail via IMAP. Labels selected or created in setup are kept in sync with Gmail so you see them everywhere.
Can I schedule email processing?
Yes on paid plans. You can enable daily automatic processing. You can also run processing manually at any time on any plan.
Which email accounts are supported?
Currently Gmail accounts via IMAP. Support for additional providers may be added in the future.
What data do you store?
We store your account, subscription, and label metadata. IMAP App Passwords are stored encrypted. We do not store full email contents; snippets are processed in-memory to decide labels.
What are the plan limits?
Trial: 50 emails and up to 3 custom labels. Personal: 800 emails/month and up to 12 labels. Professional: 4,000 emails/month and unlimited labels.
Can I cancel anytime? What happens to my labels?
You can cancel anytime from your account portal. Existing labels remain in your Gmail; we simply stop processing and applying new labels.
Can I process emails manually?
Yes. You can trigger processing on demand at any time.
Can I include read emails or go back more days?
Yes on paid plans. From the Dashboard, click “Start Labeling Emails” to open the preview: you can include already‑read emails and choose how many days back to scan. You’ll see how many emails match and how many fit in your remaining quota before you confirm.
On the trial, processing is limited to unread emails from the last 2 days.
